Most bridal gowns are made to order, so it’s best to begin wedding dress shopping 12–18 months before your wedding date. This allows enough time to find the perfect gown, place the order, and allow for production and delivery, which can take anywhere between 7-10 months. Starting early also ensures there is plenty of time for alterations and fittings, helping everything feel relaxed and stress-free in the lead up to your big day.
Yes, at Bridal by Katie we operate by appointment only so every bride receives a personalized and relaxed experience. This allows me as your personal bridal stylist to dedicate time to helping you find your dream dress and you will receive an intimate private one on one appointment.
We recommend bringing 2–3 guests whose opinions you value most. Keeping your group small helps create a calm and special experience while choosing your dress. If you would like to discuss this please feel free to reach out.
Alterations are usually required for the perfect fit. We can recommend trusted local seamstresses who specialise in bridal alterations.

We offer a small selection of off the rail gowns where you can take home on the same day as your appointment. I also have designers that always work with brides on a shorter time frame where they offer rush orders. (Rush order fee may apply) If you have a wedding on a shorter time frame please get in touch and I can help you with your options.
